I became interested in Computer Science when I was in high school. So far, I've been trying to extend my knowledge as much as possible. Having gone through different fields of this vast area, I took an interest in many of its subjects.
As you can see from my CV I am involved in research in Digital Image Processing (DIP). So, my professional interests are currently oriented to image processing. I developed digital image processing class library (DIP++) where you can see what results I actually archived. Developing library I used some already developed algorithms, which my colleges developed earlier, and I added new one. During my research I especially became interested in image segmentation. Then I found other areas for which I became very interested in: Computer Vision and Virtual Reality. Computer Vision opened for me one new dimension of extensive application of image processing. For VR, I particularly became interested in when a friend of mine Milena Radenkovic, who started Ph.D. studies in this area at University of Nottingham, told me about her work. We finished undergraduate studies together and her opinion is that my knowledge in computer graphics and image processing could be very useful in the area of VR. I am also attracted to that area because it consists of many computer disciplines, it is relatively new and expanding and it offers many different opportunities for research.
Thing I found very attractive
during my work on design of DIP++ was object-oriented software development.
Actually, my main task was to develop class library using object-oriented
technology. That class library should become base for further development
and experimentation in the area of DIP. I successfully made the code reusable
and easy to upgrade. Practical experience I got during the development
of small information system for local TV station was also important step
to the area of software engineering and software development.
To summarize, my interest
in software engineering includes theoretical investigation in that area
as well as practical application of that theory in development of CASE
tools and its testing on the live example in the industry or in the enterprise.
Besides computing I also have other interests and you can see them if you check link spare time.
